While a well-maintained beard is a symbol of power and prestige, an unruly and disheveled beard has the potential to lead society into complete anarchy.

Do your duty and civilize your beard with Duke Cannon's Big Bourbon Beard Wash. It's made with plant-based ingredients to tame your mane and moisturize the skin underneath it without stripping your beard of its natural oils and power.

Leaves a subtle and woodsy oak barrel scent inspired by the best place on earth, the Buffalo Trace Distillery.

  • Hops extract to moisturize skin
  • Citrus peel oils to rejuvenate
  • Barley & wheat protein to strengthen
  • Soybean oil to soften & condition
  • SLS free so it doesn't dry out your beard
  • Paraben-free
  • Woodsy, oak barrel scent

Size: A 6 oz. tube represents a hefty portion and offers generally more than the other fellows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cleans thoroughly and washes out completely As good as the Redwood with a good viscosity and rinse. Smell pairs well with any of the oils but, get the Big Bourbon Beard Balm for styling to keep the smell longer. I also use the Oak Barrel solid cologne. If you don't have oil to apply afterwards I recommend a conditioner made for beards. A hair conditioner may work but, the oils it is trying to add back are scalp oils not face oils. For me using a hair conditioner in my beard leaves it feeling heavy and sometimes I get breakouts. I use this with Duke's Beard Oil and then a Beard Balm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big Bourbon Beard Wash The scent is lasting and true to the other Big Bourbon products. The amount of lather is appreciable. The only thing I'd change is the viscosity. I wish it was just a bit thicker. #thatswhatshesaid

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the scent and beard conditioning! I'm a big fan of Duke Cannon's Buffalo Trace products, as well as fan of the whiskey! This beard wash is a little thin, no need to squeeze the tube, just let gravity do the work. The smell is musky, woodsy, and stays with you. I don't wash my beard everyday, and this wash does a great job of removing the oil and balm (both Duke Cannon as well). Your beard doesn't come out squeaky clean, but you also don't need the extra step of applying a conditioner. One less bottle is fine by me, less clutter in the shower. I also use a beard straightener everyday and I never have an issue with my beard getting dry or frazzled thanks to my routine of using Duke Cannon beard wash, oil, and balm. I'll be a customer for life! As a retired veteran, I can't thank Duke Cannon enough for their support of our veterans!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's ok... The beard wash smells great, but, it leaves my beard not feeling as clean as other washes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A rare mis-step for Duke Cannon - Runny/no scent I hate to write this. I really do. As this is the very first (and hopefully last) time a Duke Cannon product has disappointed me. I'm a huge fan of generally everything that Duke Cannon has put out with the Buffalo Trace/Bourbon Oak Barrel scent ... until this. When you buy a quality beard wash, you expect more thickness or creaminess from the product -- something akin to a conditioner or a beard butter. The Bourbon Beard Wash is thin, runny, and works up barely any lather. Just opening the cap sent a huge amount of the stuff dripping down my hands to the shower floor. The biggest disappointment is the lack of that classic Bourbon Oak barrel smell. The scent on this product is weak as can be. You will get more bang for your buck rubbing the leftover residue from an application of the Bourbon Oak solid cologne through your beard than you will from this "wash." Until the formula gets re-tooled, I would advise just sticking with the other Bourbon Oak barrel products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wife and Daughter Approved! I have tried many beard products to tame my coarse wiry beard. I already use the beard balm and oil from Duke Cannon, so when I saw the beard wash in the same scent, I had to give it a try. The beard wash has a creamy consistency similar to a shampoo but not as thick. It lathers very well, and feels good as you work it into your beard. It does not feel like there is any greasy residue left behind after it rinses out. I think it does a great job at softening the hair, but the true testimonial comes from the ladies in my family. Both my wife and daughter say they not only see the difference in the look of my beard since using the wash, but it is noticeably softer too. I would say thats a huge win for Duke Cannon Big Bourbon Beard Wash!
