Rated 5 out of 5 by Danno from Unexpectedly amazing! Most would assume almost all cologne are always heavy on the musk side but this one is actually smoother than expected, but still extremely refreshing and definitely gives me the thoughts of fresh Birchwood. Surprisingly, after a free days of purchase, when I carry the cologne around to school and work, I feel like the hot weather affects the fragrance by a margin, increasing it's musk. Still smells amazing though. So glad this was the first I've ever bought 'cause I feel like I'll be buying more from you guys. Also these colognes aren't as overwhelming as spray versions. Another plus!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Eman07 from love the smell of forests in the morning This scent is fantastic! I'm not a fan of the heavy scents, where you feel like a drowned rat carrying a knapsack down a peat trail with more threatening rain ahead. Not this stuff! This is a light citrus smell, that's reminiscent of a clear morning hike in the Maine or Pacific Northwest wilderness. The air will smell fresher, birds will chirp, eagles with scream as you sip your coffee; wondering where you are, but it beats being cooped up in an office all day. If you are in an office all day, this stuff will help you daydream about your next adventure in Duke Cannon country.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Rodney70 from Disappointed but still a DC fan I have been very pleased with all the products I’ve ordered from Duke Cannon until this one, the special edition Birchwood solid cologne. First impression was that there was as much product in the tin as another scent that I’ve been using for months. Second was that the scent was so light that it barely smelled at all and for a cologne that you typically have to reapply often anyway this is not good. I will say the reply was prompt and the return process was very easy, just waiting for my refund to spend on more of the oak barrel bourbon scent that I like so much.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jeremy G from Birchwood isn’t for me. I have several of Dukes solid colognes, soaps and other fine products - and I’m a big fan. I’ve never met a duke cannon scent that I didn’t like, until now. Birchwood isn’t for me. Someone else stated it smelled like butter in the reviews, I would echo that. I’ve tried it on several times and I just can’t get behind this one. That being said I’ve seen plenty of other reviews of people really enjoying this, so I would say different scents for different folks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Micah from Amazing smell but lacks in performance. Excellent Scent. Truelly wonderful. Not strong enough. Not easy to apply. Takes quite a bit of effort to get the cologne to onto my fingers to apply to other areas of my body. Also, the scent is more subtle than expected. Of course, no one should be bathed in cologne like a 12 year old with a can of axe body spray, but this stuff doesn’t even put off a nice hint when moving past people. I think it would only be noticeable if my put my wrists or applied areas directly near someone’s face. 3 Stars for great scent. Minus 2 for imperfections or application and low scent strength.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joseph K. from New and different Birchwood is a nice mix of A landscape scent mixed with some light citrus. It’s a very light but manly scent. Wouldn’t mind some stronger notes even a little bergamot or Amber. However it’s fresh mix and different scent.
